About Kate

Hey friends! I’m Kate, and welcome to my blog. Here’s a little history on me…

I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and now work as a therapist. I specialize in eating disorders and all that comes along with that (focusing on anxiety, depression, body image issues, etc.). I love: spending time with my family, being active, cooking, and watching Netflix. I might do a little too much of that last one.

This is my husband, Ryan. We met on an online dating site, and I still make fun of him for what he was wearing on our first date. We got married on a very chilly November day in 2013, and I don’t think I had ever smiled as big as I did in this picture, despite the cold. He likes to golf, he makes everyone laugh, and he coaches Crossfit in the evenings after his day job.

We welcomed the first new member of our family shortly after. This is our fur baby, Max!

We adopted Max when he was a puppy from a local animal rescue, he’s now 2 years old. He is a lab/pit mix and the biggest, sweetest baby I have ever met. Max loves to play, give kisses, and eat any food he can get his paws on – particular favorites seem to be peanut butter and banana!

Now for the reason that part of this blog is about mommyhood. On December 2nd, 2015, Jack Charles came into this world and completely changed mine. He is the absolute love of my life. I could gush for hours about him, but I will save that for future blog posts.
